Inside the GLOSS IT Community Shoot: 13 Shades, 13 Personalities
When we started working on the launch of our brand new product GLOSS IT, we knew one thing for sure - this couldn’t be a typical product shoot.
At SHRINE, our community has always been at the heart of everything we do. Our products are designed for real people, real hair and real self-expression, so when it came to showcasing GLOSS IT, it only made sense to invite the people who inspire us most to be part of it.
So instead of casting only traditional models, we reached out to our supporters on Instagram and invited them to join us for a community-led shoot in our studio.
The result?
13 incredible people.
13 shades.
And a whole lot of glossy hair.
The Idea Behind the Shoot
The concept was simple: personality first, gloss second.
Each of the 13 shades of GLOSS IT delivers that signature ultra-glossy finish, but what really makes the product shine is the individuality of the people wearing it.
We wanted the shoot to celebrate:
• Individuality
• Creativity
• Different hair types and colours
• The confidence that comes from making your hair your own
Because at SHRINE, we believe beauty should never feel one-size-fits-all.
Our community is diverse, expressive and unapologetically themselves, and this shoot was all about capturing exactly that.
A Day in the SHRINE Studio
We welcomed our 13 community models into our studio for a full day of hair, makeup and gloss transformations.
Our go-to hairstylist Ashley led the styling, joined by stylist Paris, who helped bring each look to life. Together they created glossy, personality-led styles that showcased each shade of GLOSS IT in its best light.
Colourists Bonnie and Nicola worked their magic behind the scenes, making sure every shade looked vibrant, fresh and ultra-shiny on camera.
Completing the glam team was makeup artist Kala, who created glowing looks to complement the glossy hair transformations.
Behind the camera, Magda captured the stunning photography from the day while Jordan filmed all the behind-the-scenes moments and transformations that brought the shoot to life.
The energy in the studio was incredible from the start - music playing, hair transformations happening and lots of laughter along the way.
And there may have been a few celebratory glasses of prosecco involved too!
Meet Some of the Girls
One of our favourite parts of the shoot was getting to spend the day with members of the SHRINE community who love expressing themselves through their hair.
Here are a few of the incredible girls who joined us.
Sol - Dusk
Sol brought serious cool-girl energy to the studio. She works in marketing while running her own vintage fashion business selling hand-made garments – a sustainable, expressive queen who fits perfectly with the SHRINE vibe. Her thick, luscious hair gave the most incredible glossy finish with the Dusk shade from GLOSS IT.
Emma – Ash
Emma is a Healthcare Assistant and Paramedic student who swears by SHRINE for keeping her blonde cool and brass-free. When she’s not studying or working in healthcare, she’s also singing country music.
Lucy - Silver
Lucy comes from a background in private mental healthcare but is currently taking a leap into something more creative. A long-time SHRINE fan who loves experimenting with hair colour, she says the team made her feel confident and gorgeous on the shoot. She’s also currently training for her first marathon… wish her luck!
Lily - Bronde
Lily is a fashion marketing student who loved the transition to a soft bronde shade. The result? Glossy, healthy-looking hair with the perfect natural finish. She has fully committed to the darker bronde colour after being blonde for years!
Each person brought something completely unique to the shoot, which is exactly what SHRINE is all about.
Why Community Matters to SHRINE
From day one, SHRINE has been built with our community, not just for it.
Our customers constantly inspire us with how they use our products to experiment, express themselves and create looks that are completely their own.
This shoot was our way of celebrating that.
Because the best thing about GLOSS IT isn’t just the shine (although it is seriously
