DROP IT is SHRINE’s world-first, multi-use semi-permanent hair colour drops designed to let you create your own custom shade. Simply add the liquid pigment drops into your own conditioner to create anything from a subtle, soft pastel to a bold, vibrant hue.

DROP IT is semi-permanent and typically lasts between 2 – 15 washes. The exact longevity depends on the shade you choose, your hair’s porosity, how many drops you mix into your conditioner, and how often you shampoo. The colour will gradually and evenly fade over time back to your starting base.

For the truest and most even colour results, we recommend applying your DROP IT mixture to freshly washed, towel-dried hair. However, if you are looking for a deeper, more intense pigment payoff on certain vibrant shades, the mixture can be applied directly to dry hair.

Using the silicone bowl provided, fill your favourite conditioner up to the 40ml measuring line. Consult the drop chart on your box and add your desired number of drops into the bowl. Mix thoroughly with the SHRINE mixing tool until the colour is completely uniform. Apply evenly to clean, towel-dried hair using gloves, leave to develop for 10 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly.

DROP IT is a non-permanent, pure pigment suspension and does not contain permanent dyes. While it can add a beautiful, subtle tint or tone to grey hair, it is not formulated to provide full grey coverage.

Yes, DROP IT can be used on all hair types. However, your starting hair shade is key to your results. Pastel shades, silvers, and light toners require a bleached or very light blonde base to show up. Our deeper, more vibrant shades (like Purple or Red) and our specialized Brunette tones can be used on natural, unbleached darker hair bases to add a rich, reflective tint.

No. DROP IT is completely peroxide-free, ammonia-free, and alcohol-free. Because you mix the pure pigment drops directly into a hydrating conditioner, the process functions exactly like a deep conditioning treatment that cares for your hair while it colours.

Yes, DROP IT is highly effective for maintaining blonde hair between salon appointments. By adding just 1 to 6 drops of our toner shades (such as White Blonde or Ash Blonde) into your conditioner, you can easily neutralise brassy, yellow, or orange undertones at home without any chemical damage.

We recommend mixing DROP IT with conditioner for the most even colour result. You can use shampoo, however the colour may not distribute as evenly through the hair.

One 20ml bottle of DROP IT contains up to 30 uses per bottle. Your total number of uses will vary depending on your desired look-toning and pastel shades use very few drops per application, while vivid transformations will use more.
